I was informed this morning from Chicco that the actual date range of the affected Chicco KeyFit infant car seat bases is February 26, 2008 though March 17, 2008. Again, the official release should be out by Wednesday, June 4. This will detail the exact problem, dates of affected bases and the exact fix to rectify the problem.
The best option for anyone with an affected base is to simply stop using LATCH and use the vehicle seat belt.
